Muchild believes in the beginning of lesson preparations by identifying learning objectives suited under the school vision and academic aims. In determining their lessons, teachers, therefore, assess students' needs, interests, and background knowledge. They do this in a flexible manner to give relevance to their lessons and as much as possible try to avoid teaching that is prescribed by textbooks. Value-based education is something I observed teachers incorporating into their approach; for instance, while a child will begin to develop academically, so will he or she develop in terms of character.
