Although my practicum was an enriching experience, there were a couple of things I had hoped could have been otherwise. One was to be able to observe more formal classroom discussions. The majority of the classes that I observed were review sessions instead of full lessons, so I didn't see how teachers brought in new subjects or managed a complete lesson cycle. Seeing more of that would have helped me learn their teaching strategies even more.

Another I wished for was additional time to prepare presentations and assignments. I realize that classroom teaching involves rapid flexibility, and not everyone's plans are followed as initially set. Nevertheless, having additional time to plan would have enabled me to present lessons better. All that being said, I am grateful for each of the challenges that I experienced because it forced me to think quickly and be resilient, the two skills that are invaluable for any educator. In spite of these minor challenges, my time at Muchild was nothing short of incredible, and I would not trade it for the world.
