Muchild assessment goes beyond mere exams, giving greater credence to real-life applications, creativity, and critical thinking. Students show understanding through projects, presentations, and performances, not conventional tests, under Merdeka Curriculum. In English, they are free to choose their output, ranging from videos and posters to digital storytelling or performances-as long as they fit any theme of study. During my internship, I saw the kids excitedly brainstorming ideas for their projects, essentially displaying their knowledge through unique and creative presentations.

Teaching staff at Muchild used formative assessments, private discussions, peer evaluations, reflective journals, and a digital tool called Quizizz along with online platforms of learning. This way, the evaluations became more engaging and student-focused, providing opportunity for confidence building and critical thinking while adding meaning to the learning experiences.
